Just before Christmas I spent a lovely morning photographing these two sisters at their home in Thames Ditton. This was the second time I’d photographed them; the first was a year earlier, and it was wonderful to see how much they had grown during that time!
When a family plans a shoot with me, we’ll always spend some time talking about the best location for the shoot beforehand. For some families this will be their home, for others an outdoor location, and for other families we’ll decide to divide the time between both. In this case the family wanted to have their photographs taken at home, and this worked really well at this time of year. If you think that you would like to have family photographs taken outdoors, I’d recommend scheduling your shoot between April and November.
At this shoot the goal was to capture some photographs of the girls together and individually, to display on the walls at home and to give as Christmas gifts. I’ve put together some of my favourites from our shoot together below. I hope you enjoy seeing them.
