An Outdoor Family Photo Shoot in Richmond Upon Thames
In May I spent a lovely morning photographing this family in Richmond Park. When they first contacted me to arrange their shoot, mum and dad knew that they wanted to have their photographs outdoors. And as we talked it became apparent that greenery and flowers would be the perfect backdrop for their photo shoot. After discussing some different ideas, they chose the beautiful Isabella Plantation as our location for the shoot.
The day of the shoot was one of the warmest of the year – and I was glad that we chose to start early in the morning before the sun became too intense. I like to keep things moving quite quickly during a shoot – it helps to keep younger children engaged, and means we can capture a variety of different backdrops. So we worked our way around the plantation, taking in bluebells, lots of brightly coloured flowers, heathers, and even finding some fluffy baby ducklings!
At the very end of the shoot, we went out into the main park, and found some shade under a large tree for a few more family portraits. It was a really fun morning, and I’ve chosen some of my favourites from the shoot to share with you today.
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing some of my favourite’s from this family’s shoot. You can find out out more about booking a family photo shoot with me here.
