Are you considering a career in baby photography? Perhaps you’re already a newborn photographer but would love to take your images to the next level.
Being a newborn photographer is like no other speciality – not only do you need to understand your camera, lighting and posing, but you also need to know how to get the best from your little subjects.
Unlike adults, babies don’t take instructions or work to our timings. Creating beautiful images also requires you to get to know and soothe newborns, understand how to safely pose them all whilst creating beautiful photographs that will delight their parents.
The best way to learn this unique skill set is by experience – there’s no substitute for being in the room with a baby and learning by doing. Join me at my studio on a 1-2-1 mentoring day and I’ll take you behind the scenes, showing you how I safely create natural, timeless baby portraits.
What's Included In A 1-2-1 Mentoring Day?
Your mentoring day will run from 10am to 5pm at my studio, which is on the London / Surrey border.
On the day we’ll photograph a real baby together, and I’ll guide you through everything I do to create my images – from safety, posing, lighting, camera settings and editing the photographs afterwards.
The day can be tailored to the things you would like to learn most – for example you might prefer to focus on older babies rather than newborns, or to spend a larger portion of the day on editing.
Four weeks of email support after your mentoring day is also included.
What Do I Need To Bring?
You’ll need to bring your DSLR camera with you, and to have a good understanding of the settings. Ideally you will be comfortable shooting in manual mode.
A light lunch and refreshments will be provided so you don’t need to worry about bringing food with you.
How Much Does A Mentoring Day Cost?
A 1-2-1 mentoring day with me at my studio costs £700. The day runs from 10am and 5pm.
The fee is payable in two instalments – 50% at the time of booking and 50% 7 days before your mentoring day.
