How It Works

SETTING A DATE
The best time to take maternity photographs is usually between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.
This is the most flattering time, as your bump is usually nice and round by then, giving you a beautiful profile, with plenty of definition.
I recommend booking your shoot as soon as possible after your 12 or 20 week scan to make sure we can capture this window, as my diary can be full a couple of months ahead.
BEFORE YOUR SESSION
When you book your shoot we’ll arrange a time to speak on the phone so that we can plan a session that’s personal to you. Your partner and older children are welcome to join the session too.
At this stage I’ll also share lots of practical tips to help you prepare, and we’ll talk about the look and feel of your session, and which outfits you’ll wear.
A few days before we’ll have a chat on the phone to run through all of the final details, and make sure you feel prepared for a relaxed, enjoyable session.

YOUR MATERNITY PHOTO SHOOT
The day of your session has arrived!
We’ll usually spend around an hour together, and will capture a lovely variety of photographs in different outfits.
I’ll give you plenty of guidance on what to do as we move through the session, so you don’t need to worry about feeling awkward. And if you have older children I’ll have some games up my sleeve to keep them entertained.
VIEWING YOUR PORTRAITS
One to two weeks after your session we’ll meet online, where you can see the fully edited photographs from your session and choose your favourite pictures.
I’ll be on hand to give as much or as little help as you need. I can help you design albums and gallery walls, or choose the best way to display your new photographs.
This is the time that you place your order and make payment. Once payment is received, digital images will be delivered within 24 hours and printed items will follow 4-6 weeks later.
