FAMILY PHOTO SHOOT OPTIONS
I offer two different types of family photo shoot; 20 minute mini sessions which are held on selected dates each year, and bespoke family sessions which are available all year round and tailored to your family. You can find out more about each of these below.
MINI SESSIONS

Mini sessions are designed to make your family photo shoot experience simple, relaxed and easy.
Each mini session package includes a family photo shoot at one of my seasonal mini session days, digital images and 5 beautiful prints delivered to your door. All you need to do is pop them in frames and put them on display!
Mini sessions are held on selected weekend and weekday dates in the spring, summer and autumn in beautiful Surrey and London locations.
BESPOKE FAMILY SESSION

A Bespoke Family Session is perfect for you if you’re looking for a longer session in a location of your choice, a photo shoot with your extended family or professional wall art and album design.
Each part of the experience is planned with your family in mind – from the location and timing, to a personalised, online design appointment to create albums or wall art for your home.
I’ll be on hand at every step so that you feel prepared for your session, have a relaxed and enjoyable experience on the day, and have beautiful ways to display and enjoy your photographs afterwards.

PLANNING YOUR FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION
When you get in touch to schedule your session we’ll discuss what you’re hoping for from the session, location ideas and timings.
I offer family sessions on weekdays and on Saturday mornings. Saturday sessions can get booked up several months in advance so it’s best to book ahead.
You may already have somewhere in mind for your session, but please don’t worry if you don’t! Over the years I’ve got to know a number of beautiful London and Surrey locations, and when you get in touch to book we can chat about which location is the best fit for your family.
I’ll also share lots of practical tips to help you prepare from what to bring to what to wear, and answer any questions that you have so that you feel prepared for a relaxed, enjoyable session.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR FAMILY PHOTO SHOOT
On the day of your session we’ll usually spend between one and two hours together, and I’ll guide you through the session to make sure we capture your family at your best.
From where to stand or sit, to what to do I’ll give you lots of guidance so that you don’t have to worry about feeling awkward. I’ll also have plenty of games up my sleeves to keep your little ones entertained.
My goal is to capture the energy and personality of your family…without any cheesy grins or awkward posing.
VIEWING YOUR NEW FAMILY PORTRAITS
A week or two after your session you can view the fully edited photographs from your session online, from the comfort of your home, and choose what you would like to order.
At this stage you’ll have the option to purchase the high resolution digital files to print yourself, or to choose from a carefully curated range of expertly made wall art and albums.
I know how easy it is to have a photo shoot, buy the digital files and never get around to printing them, so if you choose to order albums or wall art I provide a complimentary design service. This means you don’t need to guess what your frames or album will look like, or whether they’re the right pieces for your home.
Complimentary delivery to your doorstep is included too, so you can have your beautiful new portraits up on the wall in no time!

I offer sessions on weekdays and Saturday mornings. It’s best to book your session at least two months in advance to ensure availability. This also gives you time to arrange outfits, hair cuts for the family, and any other preparations you’d like to make.
At my busiest times of year Saturday mornings can be booked up several months ahead. So if you’d prefer a Saturday session it’s best to book as early as possible.
Photographs of your children are always going to be special. But there are some ages and stages that tend to be easier than others. You can find out more in this article:
In the run up to your shoot I’ll keep a close eye on the weather forecast, and I expect you might too! Regardless of what the forecast says, I always recommend that we don’t make any decisions until the evening before your shoot. The reason for this is that I find the forecast can change frequently over the course of a week, and a day that is forecast to be rainy in a week’s time, can often be forecast to be a lovely dry, sunny day once we reach the day before.
If we can’t go ahead as planned because of the weather you can reschedule to another date free of charge. If you’re booking a mini session, we will already have a back up date planned. In the case of a signature session, we’ll work out a mutually convenient date for your session together.
Yes, absolutely! I hear from lots of families who are getting the whole family together to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary and would like to use the opportunity to have some photographs taken.
Family sessions have no limit on the number of family members who take part and so are a great option for extended family sessions.
In these situations families usually have a very specific date in mind for the session and so it’s best to contact me as far in advance as possible to ensure I am also available on that date.
I take your privacy very seriously, and will only publish pictures from your shoot in my online portfolios with your permission. If you do give permission the pictures are always shared anonymously (I would never share your or your children’s names.)
I will ask you about this when you book your session, and if you don’t want me to share the pictures from your session you can let me know then.
In the run up to your session I’ll share lots of information to help you prepare – including some tips on what to wear.
