Hampton Newborn Photography | Newborn Portraits With A 12 Day Old Baby Boy

Today I’m sharing this gorgeous baby boy’s newborn photo shoot with you. At 12 days old he was the most adorable little fellow and slept peacefully through his session.

Sleepy Newborn Portraits
Newborn babies do sleep a lot, and although this baby boy slept peacefully through his session, this is not usually ‘the norm.’
Every newborn baby has their own schedule, and I’ll follow their lead through the session. Some babies will snooze all the way through like this little guy, but more often than not they will need a break for a feed or nappy change.
I allow plenty of time for each session to allow for this – so there’s never any rush or pressure for a baby to being doing a particular thing at a particular time. We’ll follow their lead.

Capturing All Of Your Baby’s Little Details
One thing that I’m often asked by parents is whether I can take some of the ‘detail’ shots that they’ve seen in my portfolio – close up pictures of baby’s fingers, toes, and lips.
The answer is always yes – I take these photographs in every session as standard. I find these little details amazing as they are the things that make each baby unique.
Babies change and grow so much during their first year, but I find that these little features stay with them. And it’s lovely to look back at these pictures and see how many of those gorgeous little details that you see in your child each day were there right from the start.
As well as these details, family photographs are also a must and included in every session as standard. This is one of my favourites from this gorgeous baby boy’s session:

I hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing some of my favourite photographs from this newborn baby boy’s session.
