Ah…the great British weather! If you’re planning a family photo shoot, and would like to have it outdoors one of the questions you may well have is “what do we do if it rains?”
You may be surprised to hear that it’s very rare for the weather to get in the way of a photo shoot. In the last twelve months I’ve only had to reschedule one session because of the weather. But, in case the worst happens, here’s what we’ll do…
If it looks like it’s only going to rain for a short while, we might decide to start your session indoors – for example at your home – and then head outside once the rain clears. Or, if we both have flexibility in our diaries we could move the shoot to slightly earlier or later in the day.
Should the worst happen and your session can’t go ahead as planned you can either choose to have the entire session at home, or reschedule to another date free of charge.
Whatever we decide, we’ll work it out together and make sure that the solution is something you feel happy with.
On my mini session days I will be photographing lots of families on the same day, so I need to have a more structured plan for managing the bad weather.
When you book your session I’ll ask you to make sure you’re also available on the day after your session, at exactly the same time. If the worst happens and the weather is too bad to go ahead on that date I’ll offer you the option to move your session to another weekend or to have your deposit fully refunded.
