Family Photography At Home In Esher
Just before Christmas I photographed this gorgeous duo and their parents at their home in Esher. Aged 5 and 3 years old, this was the second time I had photographed them. The first was two years previously, and it was wonderful to be able to document how much they had grown up!
Before each family session I always spend time talking to parents about what they are hoping for from the photographs. The answer is always unique to each family. In this case the goal was to capture some new, natural black and white photographs that could sit alongside the photographs from their previous shoot in a gallery wall.
We started the shoot by taking some family photographs – all of the family together, each parent with the children individually, and mum and dad on their own. Here are a few of my favourites:
After that we moved around the house a bit, and captured photographs of each of the children on their own. I always love to chat to children as I photograph them, and with time their personality always comes out!
By the end of the session we had captured a variety of different photographs, which gave mum and dad a nice range to choose the pictures for their wall from.
Over to you
