The Best Places For Spring Family Photographs in South West London
Spring is one of the most popular times of year for outdoor family photographs, and with good reason. Mother Nature puts on a fantastic show during the spring with all of the gorgeous spring flowers and greenery we see, and these make a wonderful backdrop to family photographs.
Every year I’m contacted by families who want to make the most of this gorgeous backdrop and book a spring family photo shoot. One of the first questions they all ask is where the best places for spring family photos are. After all, if you’re going to make an investment in some beautiful new family photographs, you’ll want to make sure that you’ve chosen the best location for your family.
In this article I’ll share five beautiful locations for spring family photos in South West London, so that you can decide on the best location for your family.

The Isabella Plantation, Richmond Park
The Isabella Plantation is beautiful all year round, but really comes to life during the spring with stunning, brightly coloured azaleas in bloom, alongside magnolia, daffodils, bluebells and rhododendron.
The Royal Parks also have a brilliant ‘Monthly Plant Diary’ online, where you can see more about which plants bloom in the Isabella Plantation during each month of the year.
Kew Gardens has over 5 million bulbs planted, giving it one of the largest displays of spring colours in the country, so you are sure to find a beautiful backdrop at whatever point you visit the gardens during the spring.
As well as all of the daffodils and crocuses that you’ll see bloom from these bulbs, there is also the bluebell walk and the stunning blossom-filled Cherry Walk.
Bishops Park and Fulham Palace
Both gardens are also home to daffodils, and in Fulham Palace gardens you’ll also find magnolia, bluebells and crocuses.
The Woodland Garden, Bushy Park
The beautiful Woodland Garden is home to beautiful displays of blossom during the spring, along with plenty of daffodils and bluebells. You’ll also find magnolia, rhododendrons and azaleas as you explore.
Beautiful Osterley Park in West London is well known for it’s bluebell displays around the long walk and the Great Meadow.
During the spring you’ll also find that daffodils and primroses in bloom and that some colour has started to appear in Mrs Child’s Flower Garden, although the peak colour can be seen here in the summer.
