Baby Photography At Home in Surrey & London
Natural, relaxed photographs of you and your baby at home. Capturing the most precious moments during your baby's first year without any awkward or cheesy posing.
How It Works
Depending on your baby's age we'll either spend all of the shoot at your home, or if your baby is older you may choose to divide the time and spend half at home and half in a favourite outdoor location.
Before the shoot I'll share lots of tips for preparing your home, and can also suggest some beautiful outdoor locations if this is something you'd like to explore.
Baby at home sessions can take place at any time during your baby's first year. The most popular times are during the first 2 weeks after your baby has been born, at 3-4 months old when your baby can support their head themselves, and at 6-10 months old when your baby can sit unaided but isn't yet crawling.
I’ll be on hand every step of the way to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. Before your session we'll have a telephone consultation where you can tell me all about your family and your hopes for the shoot. I'll also send you a guide full of tips to help you prepare, and will be available on the phone and by email to answer any questions that you have.
Frequently Asked Questions
I know you'll want to make an informed decision about who you choose to photograph your family, and will no doubt have lots of questions. You can find the answers to the questions I'm most commonly asked below. If you have any other questions please do send me a message here, and I'll be delighted to answer them for you.
Can I see some more of your work?
Yes, you can find my baby at home portfolio here

I'm also happy to travel further afield for baby at home sessions, but a travel fee may apply. Please do get in touch if you'd like to discuss a shoot in your area.

Can we buy digital files from you?
Yes you can. I completely understand that some families like to have digital copies of their photographs for safe keeping, and to print and share themselves.
The complete set of digital images is available to purchase after your session, along with a print release and an online gallery where your family members can download the images should you wish them to.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes I do. Vouchers are available to purchase in any amount from £100 upwards.

Can we share the cost and invite extended family?
Yes absolutely! Lots of my clients invite their parents, godparents or other relatives to join the session. Having a new baby in the family is an exciting time for everyone!
When should we book our shoot?
I recommend booking your shoot as far ahead as you can. During the busiest times of the year weekends can be booked up as far as 6-8 weeks ahead.
If you would like a 'baby at home' photo shoot with your newborn baby I recommend that you book before your baby is born - ideally just after your 20 week scan. When you make your booking I'll make a note of your due date and ask you to contact me as soon as you can after your baby has been born to agree the exact date and time for the session.
How old should my baby be at the shoot?
Baby at home photo shoots can take place at any time during your first year. However, there are some times that are more popular than others and you can read about these in this article:
I'm ready to book. How do I confirm my session?
I'm so pleased that you would like to book a shoot with me, and will look forward to hearing from you.
The first step is to contact me and let me know that you'd like to book - you can either give me a call, e-mail me or send me a message using this contact form.
To confirm your session, I'll send you an invoice for the session fee and a booking agreement for you to complete. Once these are returned your session is confirmed.
How do we choose which photographs we would like?
After your shoot we'll arrange a convenient time for us to meet again so that you can view your photographs - either at your home, or at my studio. This is usually one to two weeks after your shoot.
The viewing appointment is designed to be a relaxed an enjoyable experience. I'll be on hand to offer as little or as much support with your decision as you would like. I can suggest which photographs would work well together, or create example layouts for you to compare.
Will I be put under pressure to spend a fortune?
Definitely not. That's just not my style! I believe in honest, transparent pricing. I love all of the products I offer - I wouldn't list them otherwise - and only want you to purchase what is right for you. Whether that's an album to tell the story of your baby's first weeks, a set of frames to hang on your walls or digital images to print and share, the right choice for each family will be unique to them.
Do we have to decide what to buy before the shoot?
Not at all. I don't expect you to make any decisions about what you will buy until you've had a chance to properly review the photographs after your shoot.
Will the photographs be in colour or in black and white?
When I edit each photograph I'll make an artistic decision as to whether it works best in black and white or in colour. Where I feel that a photograph works well in both colour and black and white I will process it both ways to give you greater choice.
How long will it take to receive my order?
I expect to be able to deliver albums, frames and printed products to you within 4 to 6 weeks of receiving payment. Digital images can be made available for you to download within 48 hours, whilst you wait for your USB.
Do you fix things like runny noses and baby acne?
Yes. Editing of each photograph is included in the service. If there's something that you're concerned about on the day - for example a spot or a blemish - just let me know.
I always look terrible in photos. Can you help?
I completely understand that it can feel uncomfortable to be in front of the camera, and helping you to feel relaxed, and to look your best in the photographs is all part of the service I provide.
I think that feeling comfortable with your photographer is one of the biggest contributors to feeling relaxed in front of the camera, and hence looking happy and relaxed in the photographs. I'm always happy to have a chat on the phone before you book so that you can check that you'd feel comfortable having me photograph you - just let me know if you would like to do this. I won't be offended at all if you decide I'm not the right photographer for you!
